Psionics is, simply put, the manipulation of a given element or force that uses one's mana to manipulate, but grants them total control of said element. They are typically given "-kinesis" endings to their psionic elemental name "prefix", such as "hydro" for water or "pyro" for fire. There are many different kinds of psionic abilities, ranging from Hydrokinesis to Hemokinesis (the control of blood) to photokinesis (the control of light). Each has their own usage, and there are so many kinds, but here are a few to get you thinking.
Hydrokinesis:
The ability to control, generate, and otherwise manipulate water with one's mind. Hydrokinesis grants the hydrokinetic to be able to create water with their mind and manipulate it to do various things, such as create whips or even create "water creatures" to attack a rival, or even use it for healing purposes. A lesser-known version of this is also the ability to freeze water to becoming ice, however this is a very blurred line from cryokinesis. A hydrokinetic doesn't necessarily need a body of water near them to use their abilities, however, being near water will grant them a major advantage.
Pyrokinesis:
The ability to control, generate, and otherwise manipulate fire with one's mind. Pyrokinesis grants the pyrokinetic to be able to create fire with their mind and manipulate it to do various things, such as creating fireballs or even creating "fire creatures" to attack a rival; explosions and other fiery effects are common with this psionic art. Some pyrokinetics become so powerful that they may even be able to manipulate magma, however this is a master level that even those who reach it struggle with, because it is not necessarily fire.
Cryokinesis:
The ability to control, generate, and otherwise manipulate ice with one's mind. Cryokinesis grants the cryokinetic to be able to create ice with their mind and manipulate it to do various things, such as creating ice sculptures/stalagmites/stalactites, or even creating entities out of ice to attack a rival. Being able to control cool temperatures, a cryokinetic can make a body of water suit them by turning the temperature down to the water's freezing point, thus allowing for them to use water, indirectly.
Hemokinesis:
The ability to control blood. This is a darker version of psionics not often studied by many. Many are too light-hearted for hemokinesis. Unlike it's many other brother psionic arts, a hemokinetic cannot generate blood. However, hemokinetics can even control someone else's blood as long as they are familiar with it. They can control their blood, and in a way, force their bodies to generate more blood to manipulate (which is a loose way of making up for not being able to generate it freely). You won't typically see a hemokinetic "bleed out". When they get into contact with a rival's blood, they can then begin to do devastating attacks that will leave the opponent almost helpless to object. (Please be careful if you choose this one, as it is a very tricky power to use without Mary Suing and/or God-Modding).
Telekinesis:
The ability to control things with someone's mind. This is more of a mental psionic than any other form of psionic. This form of psionic allows the telekinetic to lift, manipulate, throw, and otherwise interact with objects simply with thoughts. Generally, these types of psionic-schooled people tend to be able to read minds, predict the future, and other interesting advantages. However, that is not always the case. Telekinetics can only lift objects that they have the willpower to lift. For example, if you don't believe that you can lift an entire building with your mind, then you will not be able to lift the building with your mind. However, a telekinetic that has trained for and believes that they can lift it will very well be able to lift the building with their mind.
