This is for the Legacy of Saph'ral story train ride scene. Here is where the conversation(s) can be so that our characters within the story can get to know each other and discuss whatever it is they would talk about without taking up posts and extra time in the story just for this cause. This is a concept that was introduced before in this thread. We can have the conversation between characters here, and then "fill in the blanks" between posts with each other. Say for example my character Viktaal talked to the character Oratus. Instead of taking up posts in the stories to have this conversation, we would have it here, and then in the followup post, it would look something like this: Our conversation here is about pie. Viktaal says he likes pie and his favorite kind is apple pie, while Oratus says his is raspberry. They also discussed how the different kinds of pies took various amounts of effort and gathering of materials from the stores. We have this conversation in this thread, but then HERO goes to write his post in the Legacy of Saph'ral thread. He could then do this: "As Viktaal Oratus had been discussing pie, where he admitted that his favorite kind was apple, Oratus had explained that his was raspberry, and that it took far more effort gathering the raspberries and right materials to even make the pie without it falling into itself when trying to finish creating the pie. Viktaal had mentioned that it didn't take much effort to make an apple pie, but he himself just preferred to buy the pie from Joe's Apple Pies. As their conversation had went on, however, the MagiTrain came to stop and Oratus..."Compared to both of us taking up one post just to get the same result. This requires people to post here for the conversations, though. This will also take some coordination between the (at minimum) two people so that they know that there is a conversation even going on. Otherwise, you can't "fill in the blanks" for each other. This is me experimenting with it, so I'm not sure if this will be very effective. I may also need to take into consideration posting times with this in effect, so for now, if I see people posting here, I will be less strict on the 48-hour time limit. If you aren't posting here, however, we will be skipping over your post.

Ah, cool, I was about to send some messages to get some collaboration going. Thank the heavens AP exam week is at its end. Also, was consodering introducing OOC threads, but this could serve just as well. In flashback, there's.... Oratus: He'd probably claim to take on Viktaal's newly given title just fine, and order some quinine-water and orange juice mix, already having a small drink, also asking what Aylin would feel like, maybe offering to pay for everyone's first glass. Nomi: Would be pretty surprised to suddenly see Periit come over, and even more surprised to notice that she spoke to him, perhaps doing a spit take he could only barely contain by keeping his lips on the straw. Trying to play it off, he'd then take another sip while lifting his glass, and tapping the bottom of his pen against the coaster, seeming to make the effect of the spell disappear, before sitting the glass back down and explaining in the voice of an old man that he's enjoying himself and the conversations happening around him, unsure just how well recognized he is.
Anyone who feels like reacting, or is directly involved, go ahead and tell me how your characters would idealy act. Tagging: Periit Ars Moriendi elikeclipse

Lilith
Lilith would finish her drink and possibly strike up a conversation if anyone felt like talking, especially with the alcohol taking the edge of her discomfort around new people.
Aylin
She would order a Long Island Iced Tea, and pulled out her phi pouch to pay for it. Her alcohol toleration was fairly high, but if she had too many drinks she would certainly get loopy. She hesitated a bit before addressing the others of the group, but introduced herself and was willing to talk to anyone who wanted to socialize.

I realized a bit late that it was for the train scene, and that'd be where the socializing would occur mostly. Though Nomi's potential predicament could leave him unsettled... For the present... Oratus Oratus would probably walk into the train, chatting with Aylin, and gesturing for her to sit down with him near Minxele if she felt like it, perhaps taking an attempt at pulling out some information with a "Say, Minxele was it, you happen to have any interesting stories about the most powerful amongst your family?" Nomi Nomi would end up picking a spot on the train that sat a fair distance from everyone else, but still allow him to pick up on their conversation. But before that, he would seem to pace back and forth in one lap inside the car, performing a kind of inspection, not wishing to be ambushed. Once seated, he'd also take care to look outside the window once every few minutes.

Oops, my bad, I didn't pick up on that either.
Lilith
After having a couple of shots, Lilith would be relaxed, even a bit drowsy. The movement of the train would also calm her, and she would probably nod off for a short nap. Any moving vehicle seemed to do that to her. Aylin
Aylin sat down next to Oratus, also curious to learn a bit more about their companions. Minxele seemed to be the more open one of himself, the pink haired one, and Viktaal, discounting Wystaan's effervescent attitude. She settled down into her seat, expecting a long ride. Might as well be comfortable eh? She would take a minute to introduce herself to Iphir with a polite, "Might I inquire as to your relationship with the rest of this group?" She hesitated to comment upon the issue of gender, but decided she might as well go for it, so included the follow up question, "I beg your forgiveness, but I'm a bit... confused as to if you are male or female. I'm personally leaning more towards male, but I don't wish to cause an awkward situation by referring to you incorrectly." DC

Minxele(HERO) Minxele smiled quietly at the question, finding it slightly amusing. But the question actually had two answers in stead of one. "Well, that depends. Are you asking on the physical level or the magical level? Because those have two completely different answers. Myself and my brother are sons of the undeclared, unofficial but silently unanimously decided leader, who was the strongest in terms of magical usage. I myself don't tend to use it much, but I'll tell you something... my brother is something special when it comes to it. Letting him fight with his style is just as bad as trying to fight my father in his style. It's actually a bit scary, but hey... I'm glad he can defend himself. On terms of physical, that goes right to Iphir, here. His father was viewed as the weapon specialist of the group. His record is something just short of legendary, I tell you. I always loved hearing the stories of his father spar with all of our parents and I loved hearing of him spend time with Iphir, helping him work on his swordplay. Stories like that are a bit warming, compared to the story that is today's time. But that's all we really know in terms of the clan—stories. All that we have memory of is our lives as our parents had all broken apart from each other and lived lives outside of the clan."
Viktaal, who was also conversing with Minxele, took particular interest in the matter. He wasn't going to bring about the sensitive topic, but since Oratus did, he wouldn't pay any mind to ask questions or make commentary. Since the door was opened, he would gladly step through it, so to speak. "So, what happened exactly? If your parents and you guys were all these..." he paused just to think of what word to use, "elites, what could have driven them to break apart?"
Minxele held his demeanor, unlike before within the chamber in The Palace of Suwnloe. "I couldn't tell you what happened, since we were all too young to know. Our stories are the sad old "our parents were killed, making us orphans" type of crap."
Wystaan fell silent as he listened, starting to feel bad for Iphir and Minxele, though he did have a question. "Hey, you mentioned a brother... where is he?"
Minxele cocked his head in thought and then laughed. "Hell if I know." Though something in his eyes suggested further meaning. Something suggested there was more to the story about his brother than he gave away. It was up to somebody to ask, though." Iphir(Ars Moriendi) Ihpir looked to Aylin and then smiled, shaking his head for a moment. "It confuses a lot of people, and that's the joke that I find amusing. I love watching people stumble over the matter, not sure how to address me." His voice should have been the giveaway, but the fact that people could assume that it was just a masculine voice in a feminine body also was amusing to Iphir. "I'm of the male population," he said after a moment to allow himself a small chuckle. "As for my relation," he said, his eyes flicking for just a moment to Minxele and the two he was conversing with, "Minxele is the descendant of the clan my father was in. In a way, that would make us clanmates if you consider us a part of the clan still. I consider it that way, so Minxele, his brother," he said, and if Oratus or anybody within hearing range were to be paying attention then they would notice that neither Minxele nor Iphir were saying "his brother's" name, "and I are all that's left of the clan."

Oratus The tone of the lore imparted by Minxele to him and Viktaal felt sweet with it's grandness and warmth, a bit of bitterness in the contrast that Minxele pointed out. Oratus' expression would reflect that, each side of his lips taking on something different, but he'd appear to be willing to ask further. "I'm a single child, so I can only guess how the dynamic is between you to, or how the inner workings of your clan affects it." Slipping two fingers into his pocket, he would pull out his phone, and slide his thumb across it's touchscreen surface with a few precise motions to begin texting out a message. "Forgot to do something fairly important..." Over hearing Iphir's statement, he immediately held his thumb still above the screen, and continued to type some moments later after regaining composure. His thumb then seemed to fly speedily across the software keyboard before he hit Send. "Anyhow, with that kind of ability, would he be the kind of guy to seek refuge somewhere within Suwnloe? Or would he even think much of the Lunatic threat with most of your clan MIA?" [OOC: I still can't consistently spell the city name...]

Aylin
( DC) Aylin chuckled slightly at Iphir's comment. "I can see the amusement of the joke. Well, I'm glad I won't accidentally refer to you as a 'she'." She counted off on her fingers the people he mentioned. "You, Minxele, and his brother?" She glanced around the train. "Is here here with you?"

Now I can probably manage a post after settling a couple of things. Will edit into one of the others of mine when I do.
