The Astara
Within The Multiverse, there are multiple planes of existence, and The Astara is one of the few planes of existence that creates new life forces (hence "living plane of existence"). Albeit unknown to the Mortal Plane, the plane of existence that Kalg'rai exists in, The Astara is one of the central "living" planes within The Multiverse. The Astara is a fairly "relaxed" plane, despite having some creatures that would attack you for the sake of food. This is a more animalistic plane, however it has a more relaxing feel than it would be threatening. There are very few entities that would attack, however those creatures are fairly obvious. Screeches can constantly be heard from above the thick haze that shrouds anything higher than a good few stories above you. Moving around in the haze above you are large silhouettes, indubitably the creatures that are screeching.
The following concepts will be explained below:
- Design of The Astara
- Obsimantine
- Blaspeids
- Parahau
- Obismantine Elecmae
Design of the Astara
The astara, much like Earth, has layers of its ground. An endless "earthly" plane, the layer one walks on is dirt. This layer is extremely thick, however, if one were to get far enough down, they would find that there is a large layer of obsimantine, and then like Earth has a core, the Astara's "core" is SgPlasma. This "layer", however can become idle because of this. Because the SgPlasma doesn't often move below the dirt, the topmost layer of the plasma solidifies into SgPlasma. There are trees everywhere within The Astara, which stand far beyond the range of vision, especially due to the haze that makes up the "air" of the plane. Very few beings in The Multiverse know just how large these trees are, and most don't question it due to its lack of importance in their eyes.
Obsimantine
Because The Astara is the only plane where SgPlasma can sit idle long enough to age enough to become obsimantine, The Astara is where even Sinigrattians and Saevans go to obtain it. These deposits can be found anywhere from even on the surface to deep within The Astara's layers. These deposits are randomly found, however typically, these deposits are large. Some deposits are far larger than others, however deposits larger than a kilometer are scarce. The deposits at the surface or near the surface are all, without fail, "standard" obsimantine, meaning that none of the deposits are of living obsimantine. If one were to get to the layer of obsimantine layer, then they'd find that the layer is of living obsimantine. This obsimantine is the most difficult to obtain, however, making it rare that anybody or anything would possess living obsimantine.
Blaspeids
Blaspeids are what you might encounter if you were to cross a dragon with a porcupine. Blaspeids have scales that resemble a porcupine's spkes, which are about as tough as a dragon's scale, if not slightly tougher. There are rows upon rows of these scales, however one can still view the fleshy skin between the scales and can strike between said scales. Blaspeids "fly", however they do not have wings that would seem to let them do so. Blaspeids also have cylindrical "spines" that produce the same light grey haze that fills The Astara. Blaspeids have teeth that are made of obsimantine, and their saliva is the older version of SgPlasma, which is a lavender color rather than the fiery-orange. There are two kinds of blaspeids:
- "Regular" Blaspeids:
These blaspeids are the type that one would be most likely to encounter within The Astara. They are, on average, about 60 meters long, and their scales are a bright blue color. They move quickly, and only attack when they need to feed. Because of this, it is possible to actually approach one without being attacked. - Hunter Blaspeids
Hunter blaspeids are far more aggressive, eating with no real reason, hunting anything it sees. It will even attack other blaspeids. These creatures are double the size of normal blaspeids, and they are able to actually "spray" the SgPlasma unlike their smaller counterpart. The scales on these blaspeids are a darker shade of blue, matching a description of "sapphire-blue" rather than the sky blue of the smaller blaspeids.
Parahau
The parahau are "ghost-like" entities that are shapeless. They are best described as dark grey "matter". They have two different "states":
- Haze
The parahau's most preferred form is the form that is intangible—the dark grey haze. This haze stands out in The Astara's fog due to how dark it is in comparison, which makes finding the parahau much easier. The parahau cannot interact with obsimantine in this state, however they can "attack" in this state if need be. These entities are sentient, however their language is unable to be deciphered by nearly any creature in The Multiverse excluding their own species. - Physical state
The parahau's alternate form is the physical form, which is able to interact with the obsimantine. In this form, the parahau can mold obsimantine as if it were silly-putty. These physical forms similarly have no real shape to them, constantly changing, however in this state they can actually be attacked. They can be killed in this state rather easily.
Obsimantine Elecmae
The Obsimantine Elecmae are elemental-like creatures within The Astara that are dormant for most of their lives. The only times where they might be active is when they are provoked by some form of contact. These creatures typically live within the dirt itself, however they are able to be located by the small specks of obsimantine visible in the dirt. If one were to come into contact with these small bits of obsimantine, the creatures become belligerent and will attack until their target is beaten to death. These creatures are a living consciousness of SgPlasma and obsimantine put together, with bits of dirt that don't get destroyed from the SgPlasma. These creatures are more physical than anything, however, their SgPlasma can still affect things like normal SgPlasma would. If one were to break through the central "core", which is typically within the biggest chunk of obsimantine in their "bodies", the creature will die. Otherwise, these creatures cannot die.
