Nexus of the Wanderers
A sandbox roleplay
A sandbox roleplay
Greetings traveler, it would seem as though you've had a meeting with fate. This could be your first time here. Or maybe your second time. So long as you are able to, you could potentially arrive here as much as you would please. You may not have as much choice however. As you may view your surroundings, and yourself, you may notice that you are here with nothing but mostly the clothes on your body. Your closest carryable belongings will also be on you. It may indeed seem frightening that your surroundings seem so pale, but look, a brand new scene emerges...

Images used belong to their respective owners, i.e. not myself.
You have no need to be careful here, however it is always of benefit to be wary.
Rules
- 1. No character sheet need be given to enter. Simply PM me a short time afterwards, if I don't message you first. The only requirement is that your character has been able to sleep in the past.
- 2. Your character may be involved in the goings on of here regardless of their involvement or status elsewhere
- 3. There is a subplot in the works, however for now there need be no aim.
- 4. Your character may not experience death, however conditions that would normally lead to it instead would result in a "blacking out" for the passing of one day. Disease and alike afflictions would seem to be paused while here, while travelers heal easily from wounds and dismemberment when given enough time.
- 5. Creation of sentient beings by travelers would appear to be impossible here.
- 6. Questions towards Non-Player characters about this place will most likely lead to an uninterested reply. However travelers are welcome to join in activities.
- 7. Not all of the things here will be exactly as they seem.
- 8. A traveler as at liberty to act however he wishes, however the world may or may not adapt favorably. Perhaps if luck was on one's side...
- 9. Things may change here, without sense needing to be made.
Now, should you choose to stand and listen, I will explain all that must be explained. Unless of course, you decide it best to enter the tavern whilst I still speak...
{Care to listen? Open spoiler. If not, proceed onward.}
You seemed to have decided to stay...This place you have found yourself is not of the land where you reside. Or any other land, for that matter. In truth, You as a whole are not present. Merely a copy of your mind, your consciousness, or more correctly, a stripped away piece of it is all that you are here. When you last fell asleep, this part of you was spirited away, and guided along here, to the Nexus of the Wanderers. When you next move too far from the tavern, then you may fade from this world, and rejoin with the rest of your whole at anytime your body may fall asleep. Whether or not you remember this place, or have any ties to anyone here after, depends on how significant these things are to you. However, most shrug off the feelings that come as a false sense of déjà vu.
The voice then becomes deathly silent.

Notice, you may seek out residents, and they would be there. You could observe them drink, play games, dance, eat, and chant. However if you do not, it would appear as if they just barely existed at all...
The words would echo in the mind of an entering traveler, however they would be quite easy to ignore.
Here lies a sandbox roleplay thread. Took me a good second to make, but it's here. There is no posting standard here, and the restrictions are intended to be few. You can write one-liners here, or you can write out the entirety of your character's life story up to this very moment. Combat may take place here, and so can just about anything else, however for the most part, what happens in the middle of nowhere stays in the middle of nowhere. - Greg
